Living Life on a Deadline
You know the feeling. Your entire life is based on deadlines. If you have 10 jobs in your backlog, you also have ten due dates looming over your head each and every day. The pressure is immense. The pressure is constant. But we chose this profession, and we need to handle it.
When the pressure is high and the pages keep stacking up, you're forced to make a decision. Do you take off work so you can spend time editing? Do you miss the deadlines and deal with grief from your agency and/or clients? Do you call a scopist? Each court reporter handles this situation differently, but does each one handle it wisely?
